Everyone in the whitewater package has been working so hard we wanted to create an experience that would be a great reward to the students! So we phoned out to our friends in Ecuador to see if they wanted to host the All Out Adventures Student population in the winter of 2024. We knew “River People Ecuador” was going to be the right fit for our group! 

 

This trip is a class 3/4 whitewater trip it will be a total of 10 days in duration and will be 9-10 days of paddling. There is a chance we will hit a different river each day! Rivers are within 20min to 1hr from where we will be staying within the jungles of Ecuador.

 

Our first trip we are booking is Jan 18th (arrive Jan17 at night) -28th
You will be responsible for airfare/arrival to Quito on January 17th.

Included:

  • Pickup from the airport as well as the hotel the first night
  • Pick up and drop off from the capital
  • Lodging and transport to the river
  • Breakfast, lunch, dinners,
  • Safety drivers at designated exit points
  • Qualified guides
  • Boats 
 

Requirements for this trip: Whitewater 104, Intermediate Club Package, and Swiftwater Rescue training.

Day 1

Arrival

  • Arrive the Night Before Quito, Ecuador
  • Get Picked up and head to hotel (Included in price)
  • Early wakeup and Travel to Rema Kayak Lodge
  • Safety Briefing and Boat Outfitting
  • Afternoon warm-up run if time allows.​


Day 2

Jatunyacu

  • Jatunyacu Class 3 warm-up and play run.
  • Experience big water and high volume.
  • Navigate 25km of pool drop wave train type rapids
  • Warm up on surf waves and play holes.​


Day 3

Upper Misahualli

  • Upper Misahualli
  • Navigate the Upper Misahualli, a class 3+ technical medium volume river.
  • Focus on honing your technical boating skills.
  • Encounter mini drops, eddies, and boof opportunities.​


Day 4

Jondachi Hollin

  • Jondachi Hollin Class 3-4
  • Start with the medium volume creek on the Jondachi.
  • Afternoon paddle into the impressive Jungle Gorge of the Hollin.
  • Practice river reading skills and enjoy stunning scenery.​


Day 5

Rest or Paddle

  • This day can be used as a rest day or an optional paddling day!
  • Visit Monkey Island, explore caves, or discover waterfalls.​


Day 6

Middle Anzu

  • Middle Anzu Class 3-4
  • Explore the medium volume river with big boofs.​


Day 7

Piatua

  • Piatua Class 4
  • Navigate Ecuador’s classic medium volume creek.
  • Encounter Class 4 rapids interspersed with class 3 read and run sections.


Day 8

Cosanga River

  • Travel to the Cosanga River
  • Enjoy a mid riange Andes river run.
  • Encounter Class 3/4 boulder garden-style rapids with technical moves.
  • Overnight at a lodge on the the Quijos River.

 


Day 9

Quijos Canyon

  • Experience big water Class 4 rapids with pools and Class 3 read and run sections.​


Day 10

Last Day

  • Morning play run on Quijos River
  • Depart or travel to hot springs located in the Andes for relaxation.
  • Airport drop-off.​
